Kumbhabhishekam Video Recording

The night before Kumbhabhishekam

The night prior to the kumbhabhishekam day was indeed very momentous. Marigold flower garlands and intricate color rangolis adorned our temple and added to its beauty. Kalashas were arranged over the rangolis and were filled with holy water for the abhishekam of all the dieties for the Kumbhabhishekam. Kalasha pooja and mantra japams were then performed.

Pranapratishtapana

Traditional pujas were performed on the dieties as part of the sanctification for the pranapratishtapana. Yantrams, Nava ratnams and precious ornaments were placed at the sanctum before consecration of the idols.

Acharya's Blessings

We then had a live telecast of our Guru His Holiness Sri Sri Bharathi Teertha Mahaswamiji the 36th Pontiff of Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham Sringeri. Acharyal in his Anugraha Bhashanam blessed all the devotees profusely and explained to us the importance of Bhakti. He said that he would pray for the function to be a grand success when he is performing his Chandramouleshwara pooja.

ADI SANKARA ABHISHEKAM
SRI SHARADAMBA ABHISHEKAM
SRI CHANDRAMOULISWARA ABHISHEKAM

The devotees who had contributed for the days event performed sankalpa for the kumbhabhishekam event. The new temple has Goddess Sharadamba as it presiding deity along with Chandramouleshwara, Adi Shankaracharya, Lord Mahaganapati, Murugan Swamy and Valli Devi, Bhavani Mata, Hanuman, Navagrahas and Chandekeshwara.

Abhishekam was performed in all sanctums followed by alangaram which would only leave the devotee of coming back again and again for the glimpse of the grandeur and radiating beauty of Sri Sharadamba.

This was followed by mangala aarti and singing of hymns in praise of the lord.

The Nagaswaram tunes playing all through the function and mahurtam set the mood to our traditional festive atmosphere.

All the devotees climbed the nearby hill to get a direct view of all the gopurams and witness the kumbhabhishekam. The administrator of Sringeri Mutt and its properties performed the kumbhabhishekam along with the priests from Sringeri.

A helicopter flew in to shower heavenly blessings in the form of rose petals on our Raja gopurams.

This was surely one of its kinds and a huge surprise for our devotees and was cheered by our bhaktas.

Everyone then assembled inside the temple for felicitating the persons that comprise as part of the temple builders.

Our Stapathis from India come from six generation of stapathis in India. They and their team have toiled a lot for last few months day and night to fulfill the dream of completing building this temple in record time. Sringeri Mutt felicitated both of the main stapathis with a shawl and kanganam for the hard working and toiling hand accompanied with prasadam.

Dr. Yegnasubramanian also felicitated all the temple builders and six local contractors who have gone out of their way each day in realizing our temple dream.

The trustees and the key individuals who shouldered the responsibility of building this temple were also felicitated with prasadams from Sringeri.

The chairman of the temple expressed his special thanks and gratitude to the County persons for being so co-operative and helping them in all possible ways.

He also made a special mention to thank the USCIS and the U.S. Consulate at Chennai for granting visas to 180 priests on the very same day.

Acharyal and Goddess Sharadamba have showered their benign blessings on us for making all this possible in such a short span of time.

Chairman addressed the devotees and told them to regularly come and pay their obeisance at the lotus feet of Goddess Sharadamba and Chandramoulishwara ensuring a prosperous and a fulfilled life.

Temples from all over the US like Shiva Vishnu temple Maryland, Siddhivinayak temple California to name a few and other major Indian temples sent prasadams through their representatives to our temple to mark our Kumbhabhishekam event.

Swarna Rathotsavam

Goddess Sharadamba has come to our temple from Sringeri along with a glittering golden chariot.

Devotees drew the golden chariot this evening in the temple and the fervor and excitement of this festive day will be etched in our minds.

A young goldsmith crafted the golden chariot paying attention to all its intricacies and adhering to the traditional conventions of designing and crafting this chariot.

With so many youngsters involved in building the temple and participating/volunteering in large numbers we surely are leading our future generations across the world in the right direction. Sanatana dharma and hindu parampara is here to stay amidst us for many many years to come.
